Minecraft had its official release day not too long ago, and it released with patch 1.0.
just today (January,12, 2012) and it has a few minor updates.
For one thing the sheep now have regrowing wool. So for one thing that makes it slightly more realistic.
They added international languages for people in Europe who want to experience the “blockyness” of this amazing game.
so the overall thoughts of the patch so far, I love it and am looking forward to the next patch.
you can find the full patch notes here…
+ Bow Enchantments
+ New language translations.
+ Sheep eat grass and regain their wool
+ Added spawn eggs to creative (the colors of the eggs even look like the mobs)
+ Added world type options (currently only super-flat and default)
* Golden Apple recipe
* Slightly smoothed color transitions between biomes
* Reduced brewing time to 20 seconds
* Removed collision box from ladders
* Bug fixing

I love Minecraft and I LOVE drinking, so when these drinks fuse together, I love it, Drunken Moogle is a great site to look at these nerdy and awesome drinks, check them out
Dirt Block (Minecraft cocktail)
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz french vanilla Kahlua
1 1/2 oz amaretto
Around 3 oz chocolate milk
Oreo cookie crumbs
Directions: Mix ingredients in a rocks glass over crushed ice. Premade chocolate milk is fine, or you can be fancy and make your own with milk and chocolate syrup. Sprinkle the top with Oreo or other chocolate cookie crumbs.

My design I did for my Iphone in 10 minutes, crude but effective, especially considering I’m the only one who sees it.
Blizzcon was yet again this past weekend. Blizzard did what everyone expected. They announced a new World of warcraft expansion, gave some Diablo 3 news and gave some more stuff on Starcraft 2: heart of the Swarm.
Let’s start with World of Warcraft. Blizzard always has new stuff for WoW every Blizzcon. This year the announced their fourth expansion World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria. This expansion has raised the level cap to 90 which is an improvement on their level 85 from Cataclysm. Hopefully they can impress all the WoW-ers that complain the game is too easy ( I doubt they will though). They added a new class and race. The Pandarians, which are essentially a panda bear race that knows martial arts, cool or not? Its kung fu panda in game form. But Blizzard fans know that Pandarians were in the older Warcraft games so it isn’t something extremely new. The additional class they have now is the Monk class. Which instead of just clicking on an enemy once and allowing a constant attack, you have to actually push buttons to get a combo going, so it involves the player more which is good.
Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm has a new trailer and information on it. Blizzard is putting in a few new units while at the same time taking some away. So far one of the units being taken away are the Protoss Carriers and replaced with a new unit that is essentially a flying saucer that shoots giant balls of energy. A good trade? We’ll see. Heart of the Swarm continues the story from Wings of LIberty so giving an additional many hours on the single player campaign. Overall Blizzard is very proud of the series now that it is strong and running. So anything they add will make people either really happy or outraged about small things, so we’ll see what happens when it releases.
Diablo 3 still doesn’t have a release date. There is a deal they are doing with World of warcraft tho that might have old WoW players to start playing again. Essentially you pay for a whole year’s WoW subscription, you get Diablo 3 for free with this payment, instant Mists of Pandaria beta access and a new Diablo 3 themed mount. So Blizzard is pretty smart about making their customers happy.
So overall this Blizzcon was a success in my opinion, they had Foo Fighters put on a concert, they had their annual costume and dance contest. Blizzard has a lot of loyal followers in their grasps, I’m excited for next year’s Blizzcon. They announced a new WoW expansion, new units in Starcraft 2 Heart of the Swarm and some small details on Diablo 3. I’ll leave links on the bottom of the page to all the information I spoke about.
